How to make a weed wine?
Weed wine is no longer a novelty on the shelves of expensive alco markets, but a fashionable trend. The taste, aroma, and recreational properties of THC and CBD infused wine have attracted many fans. However, the price of the product more reflects its popularity than the cost of production. It’s not even about saving money, but our all-consuming love of experiments. It’s effortless to make such a drink, and we’ll share a good marijuana wine recipe with you.
Wine, or rather alcohol contained in it, is an excellent solvent and extractor of cannabinoids. In other words, wine meant to infuse with cannabis active ingredients.
The easiest way to do this doesn’t even require heating the wine. We need to saturate the wine with the hemp right in the bottle, using a teabag or any bag for brewing dry mixes. You can also insist on strong drinks such as vodka or rum this way. Try it out and share your results. Many things have become available to humanity because of enthusiasts.
Cannabis wine recipe
So to prepare infused wine you will need simple ingredients:
- Dry wine. It doesn’t matter if it’s red or white. What’s important is that it’s dry, because it’ll have minimum sugar in it.
- 10-20 grams of buds – depends on the amount of wine you want to improve and the concentration you want to get.
- Oven – to activate the buds.
- Brewing bag – to infuse
The first thing to do is to “activate” marijuana. This process is similar to what happens to cannabis when it burns: temperature causes tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA) to turn into psychoactive THC.
First, shred your buds into large pieces and place them on a baking tray. Cover the tray with a foil and place it in an oven with a temperature slightly below 120°C for about an hour. The decarboxylation process carried out by heating the plant.
After you have fried some marijuana, take it out of the oven and open the foil immediately so that all residual moisture evaporates. Use a grinder or blender to crumble the resulting material – the better you grind it, the easier and faster the extraction will go.
Fill the brew bag with activated and crushed buds. Close tightly with a knot and attach a long rope for easy extraction. Sink the “teabag” into a bottle of wine, making sure it immersed. Close the jar with a cork.
You are a great winemaker!
Place a bottle of CannaWine in the fridge and let it absorb around the day. Alcohol in the wine will extract cannabinoids, terpenes, and other organic substances from marijuana. Since the wine is in the fridge, you should help the process and stir it every few hours for better extraction.
After 24 hours (or more if you are in no hurry), remove the bag from the bottle. Squeeze the concentrate out before throwing it away.
Remember that combinations of cannabis and alcohol can be dangerous. Both substances act as nervous system suppressors and can affect your body unpredictably. If you are unsure of your health but cannot give up good weed white wine, start the tasting at low doses. Take care, and don’t be afraid to try something new.
